DMX TO APPEAR IN HORROR FILM 'THE BLEEDING'

After a rough few years filled with personal missteps, DMX is looking to get back into the swing of things with a roll in the film 'The Bleeding.' According to IMDB.com, the film follows the lead character, Shawn Black, played by Michael Matthias, in his quest to save the world from "pure evil" vampires. X plays the role of Tagg in the straight-to-DVDrelease.

The action/horror flick was shot in 2009, and marks X's newest movie roll since the virtually unknown film 'Lockjaw: Rise of the Kulev Serpent,' back in 2008.

Unfortunately, with several arrests under his belt plus trips to rehab, the 40-year-old hasn't had much time to focus on his career. X, born Earl Simmons, is currently serving a one-year sentence in an Arizona prison after having his probation revoked stemming from an arrest last November. At the time of his arrest, the recovering addict was believed to be under the influence of cocaine while driving on a suspended license.

'The Bleeding' is set to be drop March 1.
