Prince William and Kate Middleton smile as they visit the University of St Andrews on February 25, 2011 in St Andrews, Scotland. The couple returned to the university where they first met to launch a fundraising campaign for a new GBP 13 million scholarship and students support. The couple will marry in a much anticipated ceremony at Westminster Abbey on April 29th. But we promise, we'll keep it to celebs and athletes.
Victoria and David Beckham
Yep, a Spice Girl was invited to the Royal Wedding and President Obama was not. It's a truth. David Beckham, who worked with William on England's bid for the 2018 World Cup, and very-pregnant wifey will be at the lavish event. And we're sure Victoria's dress will get a lotta attention. Just cover up a bit Posh! The Queen will be eyeing you.
Joss Stone
The British-born soul singer, who performed at the memorial commemorating Princess Diana's 10th anniversary of death, scored an invite. It's left another British songstress livid. Pop singer Lily Allen, who also sang at the Princess Diana concert, tweeted: "You can quote me as outraged. Why does bloody Joss Stone get an invite and not moi?" Maybe the royals think Stone's got more talent?
Elton John
Sir Elton John (he has been knighted by Queen Elizabeth herself) will be attending the big day with his partner, David Furnish. Although the former friend of late Princess Diana previously insisted he wouldn't earn a spot, he recently said: "We do have an invitation. I’ve been trying to be discreet." And he likes Kate. "She is Diana in personality," he said. "She is very discreet, she is a very beautiful girl."
Guy Ritchie
The British filmmaker (and former Madonna hubby) is apparently a Clarence House stated that Ritchie is "a friend of Prince William and Kate Middleton," according to the official Clarence House statement.
Amanda Berry is Chief Executive of BAFTA. Prince William has been President of BAFTA since 2010
Amanda Berry
The Chief Executive of BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) is invited -- and it's not a huge surprise. Prince William was the 2010 President of BAFTA. That, we never would've guessed.
Clive Woodward
Clive Woodward, a former English rugby player and the former Coach of the England rugby team snatched a spot. The Prince was invited by Clive back in 2005 to join the team on their tour to New Zealand. There's apparently some other rugby big wigs attending, so he won't have to drink a brewskie in the corner alone. (Does that happen at royal fetes?)
Mario Testino
Acclaimed photographer Mario Testino -- who shot the couple's now forever-famous engagement portraits, will be at the nuptials. He's also a big figure on the England high-society scene and photographs other big English names like Emma Watson.
Rowan Atkinson
The British comedian/actor (best known for his role on Blackadder) is a good friend of Prince William. He recently spoke at the William's charity gala dinner for The Prince's Foundation for Children and the Arts. Kind of an odd friendship, but we dig it.
