Luckresia Tarimo “Lucky” Ntirugelegwa, 48, died on Friday, November 11, 2011. Lucky was born in Moshi, Tanzania to Hipolite T. and Genovive Komu Tarimo on November 14, 1962.
Lucky was a loving mother and friend to anyone that she had the opportunity to come in contact with. Lucky was a lady who was concerned more about the other people in her life than being concerned with her sickness. Lucky worked in Pittsboro as an LPN at an assisted living facility and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in durham, NC. “She was a loving woman that would do anything to put a smile on the faces of her family and friends.
Lucky is survived by her husband Tony Ntirugelegwa of Durham, NC; daughters Rehema Nshatsi of Durham, NC, Genovive Ntirugelegwa of Durham, NC; sons Ezra Ntirugelegwa of Durham, NC, Imani Nshatsi of Durham, NC; brother Sevenini, sisters Benedicta, Wilfrida, Matilda, Aurelia, Martha, Idda and Claudia. Lucky is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 12:00noon Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 810 West Chapel Hill Street, Durham, NC 27701 with Fr. Dan McLellan, OFM, presiding. A Rite of Christian Burial will follow at Chapel Hill cemetery.
Friends may visit from 6:00 – 8:00 on Monday, November 14, 2011 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 West Main Street, Durham, NC 27701.
Flowers are acceptable, for memorial contributions in Luckresia's name may be made to the American Lung Association National Headquarters, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Suite 800. Washington, DC 20004.
