Jay-Z, Beyonce Skip 2012 Grammys to Eat Pizza in Brooklyn-The Boombox

As reported by AOL Music, last night's Grammy Awards ceremony brought out all the stars, but there was one music industry power couple that was noticeably missing from Sunday's festivities (Feb. 12). No, not Kanye West and Jay-Z --Beyonce and Jay-Z! The new parents were no-shows at the music industry's biggest night, despite both being nominated for multiple awards.

So where was our favorite musical couple? At home in New York having a shockingly normal Sunday evening. Bey and Jay actually ditched the Grammys this year so they could have a date night at their favorite pizza parlor in Hov's native Brooklyn!

The happy duo left baby Blue Ivy at home and stepped out for a romantic night alone! Bey and Jay took a Maybach from their Tribeca neighborhood home in downtown Manhattan to the popular pizzeria Lucali in the Carroll Gardens area of Brooklyn.

A source tells Us Weekly that Hov and Beyonce "were just like a regular couple talking and whatnot" -- so much so that they went unnoticed by the other patrons (except the witness, that is). "They were sitting in front of the place closer to where they make the pizza," shares the source. When it came time for the couple to return home to Baby Blue, Beyonce made sure to say goodbye to the restaurant owner and their waitress. How sweet!

Jay, who was nominated for a total of four Grammy awards last night, earned two wins, Best Rap Album and Best Recording Package, for his 'Watch the Throne' collaboration with Kanye. Bey came up empty handed, but her Andre 3000-assisted 'Party' was nominated for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, and her 'I Am... World Tour' concert visuals were up for Best Long Form Music Video.
