TANZANIA MAN KILLED IN NORTH-CAROLINA,GREENSBORO TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

GREENSBORO — A Burlington man died in a vehicle accident with a tractor-trailer on the interstate Monday.
According to published reports, Greensboro Police responded at 8:30 a.m. to a wreck in the eastbound lane of I-40 between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Elm Eugene Street.
Christa of Elon was traveling east in a 2001 Ford Focus, with Ghazal Mohamed Omar of Burlington as her passenger, when she lost control of her car as she passed Randleman Road, and hit the guardrail on the south side of the highway.
Christa then re-entered the interstate and was hit in the driver’s side by a tractor-trailer operated by Rodney Morris of Mount Gilead, according to a news release.
Omar was taken to Moses Cone Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Greensboro Police have not released Omar’s age.
