If it's a non profit organisation, why all this information about money and accounts???.....That TGN thing is just a network like any other network with the aim of bringing people together, so they shouldn't discuss any sort of thing like money or accounts.

I know, talking about money while the organisation itself haven't yet matured. They are talking about benefits in which they know that they can't afford. That's so called a new way of conning people. Already Tanzanian's have strong Communities which does deliver the benefits which this new organisation has enlisted. Stop conning guys.

A few questions for clarification
1. What law (legal regime) will govern this non-profit organization? remember members will be from all over the world from Zimbabwe to Russia, USA to India,Sweden to Australia.
2. How will this organization manage its membership? will it have full time staff members? who will be paying them?
3. What currency will be used? not everyone is using US dollars
4. With different times zones between members in different countries will this organization have an office per time zone? or will a member wait for six hours to get feedback on their request for funds to transport their loved ones?
I do not know whether this is a scam, but I am sure it is a logistical nightmare. Regardless of how much money the founder will deposit into the account - this can not be done - not with so many areas to be covered.
My advice for Tanzanians living abroad is take an insurance policy that can cover whatever your needs are. When you have problems like loosing a loved one you do not need another nightmare of fighting a Global organization you can not see. Good luck to members - I will not join.

Give us the statistics, the guy spend $30,000 to start the organisation. He is willing to add up to $50.000 if necessary. As of Jan 23 2014 the organisation has over $11.000 in 3 different Bank Accounts. Why????..The arithmetic doesn't add up. In my conclusion, it could be wiser to save the purpose first, before giving us the false accounts. Further more you call yourself a non profit organisation, what a shame.

This is Peter Kilaba, the founder of TGN.
First, you need to understand that TGN is not a business and it is not a charity either. It is a non -profit,mutual benefit organization formed under the United States Internal revenues services code 501 (c) 8, here is the link
http://www.irs.gov/Charities-&-Non-Profits/Other-Non-Profits/Fraternal-Societies.
That means it is funded by members for their mutual benefits. All charities are non-profit but not all non profits are charities.
TGN is managed by Executive director and the services it provide are delegated to outside contractors, check the management page at TGN website.
For the person who questioned " why 3 different accounts'..Most org have different accounts for different purposes.
What you mean 'arithmetic doesn't add up' please clarify. You talk about serve the purpose first, what purpose you are talking about.
For the person who wanted clarification..
Management of members is through website CONTENTS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. Currency is US dollars and contractor KENYON INTERNATIONAL is the bereavement services provider.. Please the website for more information.
