RIDHIWANI KIKWETE’S CONSPIRACY LOONS NEED TO STAY QUIET

My aim is not to be seen as an opponent of free speech, but there comes a point when, as first, a personal favor to all fanatics, and, secondly, an attempt to reduce the level of national embarrassment, one must demand for the silencing of all small minded social deviants who have deceived themselves with the notion of a great conspiracy involving the President, his son Ridhiwani, and the Chinese Government.

Simply put, be quiet!

I’ve come to realize that they have no personal dignity or common sense, but out of respect for those whose criticisms against Kikwete’s  administration are substantiated with legitimate and rational reasons, please, crawl into a dark room, lock the door  behind you, then continue to mumble among yourselves.

Understandably, there are those who do not spend time to read tabloid magazines or read the more paranoid precincts of the Internet, so here is the summation of these individuals’ beliefs: Tanzania government made a secret oil contract deal with China in order to secure Ridhiwani prison release.

Not only are these assertions outlandish, but they’ve been disproven by evidence, testimonials and common sense. Ordinarily, this kind of conspiracy theory would be unworthy of social recognition.

The idea that Ridhiwani Kikwete, who, apart from being a president’s son, is a lawyer with vivid and immense political ambition, would carry drugs to China, is not only illogical, it’s absurd.

The underlying question is, are these individuals, who I have coined the “Kikwete conspiracy community”, plainly, a core fringe of lunatics, who’ve lost touch with reality, or simply psycho, who lay hinge on anything that fits their narrative of paranoia?

These, perhaps are the ones who believe that Lake Victoria was constructed by Germany’s   engineers, or probably those who believe that Mount Kilimanjaro was built by British colonialists.

What is even more terrifying is, majority of these people are very intelligent and well informed, not so much the feckless Tanzanian public, a population notorious for its predilection for groundless conspiracy theories and magical thinking.

They are the politicians and the intellectuals, the so-called responsible leaders and analysts of our society, who are perfectly willing to consciously fabricate the truth, in aims of delegitimize our President and gin up their political support.

Attempting to analyze this erroneous conspiracy phenomenon, would mean taking it seriously, which can be likened to answering the question “who painted the stripes on the zebra’s skin”, in avertedly, giving them the attention they seek.

All that can be said at this moment is that a bunch of lost, confused and frightened people have decided to seek refuge in conspiratorial make-believe. I pray that they are harmless and hope they seek help
