To all Tanzanian Diaspora Worldwide

Bcc; Tanzania Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation ( Diaspora Office )
Tanzania Prime Minister's Office ( Diaspora Office )
Zanzibar Department of International Cooperation and Zanzibar Diaspora
International Organization For Migration ( Dar-es-salaam and Geneva )

Important Step To Enrich the Social, Cultural, Philanthropic and Economic Status of Tanzanian Diaspora, Their Family and Community Abroad and at Home.

It is currently estimated that somewhere between one hundred thousand and three million Tanzanians live outside of our country. Spread widely across the globe, it’s currently impossible to provide a more accurate figure for our Tanzanian Diaspora (those living outside of the country). With no reliable database available, this means it’s impossible to affect government policy to reflect our needs abroad and at home.

To enhance our social, cultural, economic and philanthropic freedom, build on our proud unity, true fellowship and support, we’d like every Tanzanian Diaspora and those who have permanently return home, to join our Tanzania Global Network by registering online and help create the largest, inclusive database of Tanzanian Diaspora in the world. Your registration is free, and our network is a non-profit organization, deeply committed to providing mutual aid, assistance, and fraternal support to every member of our diaspora no matter where in the world they live. TGN, based in United States and soon in Tanzania, aim to become a Global Tanzanian Diaspora brand with official chapters in every country with TGN membership base of 5000 or more.

What you, and others, will gain by registering

Building such a database will allow TGN among other things to identify key characteristics of Tanzanian Diaspora, offer support, enable interest groups to form within TGN, gather and regularly meet online and offline, disseminate information and provide valuable benefits through relevant bodies in several key areas. These include:

• Dealing with Immigration matters such as attorney referral and legal defense costs or bond posting

• Offering sensitive Bereavement support, including full repatriation costs, round trip family tickets, and in dealing with funeral costs in Tanzania

• Enabling Education opportunities to be accepted though grants and scholarships, tuition assistance, and bank loan guarantees

• Providing assistance for Entrepreneurs with areas such as loans, direct investment, and business plans

In addition to the above benefits, by bringing all Tanzanian Diaspora in one database as members, we can use our economies of scale to provide through our organization, efficient and low cost services including,
Free money transfer (Remittance) to Tanzania

Low monthly subscription for unlimited international calls to Tanzania

Low cost medical insurance for relatives in Tanzania

And other deep group discounts including but not limited to air fare, hotels, rental and tours abroad and in Tanzania

Our long term plan for the database and organization is to facilitate two very important tasks
Establishment of Collective Diaspora Direct Investments Fund for Tanzania through crowd-funding
Establishment of Collective Diaspora Charitable Foundation Fund for Tanzania through crowd-funding

The registration process – and who can join

Remember that initial registration is completely free, takes only few minutes and can be undertaken at our website www.tanzaniaglobalnetwork.org. It’s available to all Diaspora individuals, associations, embassies/consulates, and anyone who has lived abroad but has now permanently returned home. As an individual, you simply provide your personal details such as name, location, education, expertise e.t.c; this helps build our database and understand where our fellow Tanzanians are located, how they can be assisted socially and economically or engaged in different opportunities abroad and at home. This is free, but to access the specific Diaspora benefits that uses organization financial resources described previously, you must be a paid member. It’s entirely up to you if or when you pay for membership.

Coming into our community and stepping together into a better future

If you would like to be of service to the Tanzanian Diaspora in your host country through TGN, please know that we are always looking for highly motivated individuals to represent TGN in every country on the planet. We are currently looking for TGN Country representatives. These individuals will initially serve on a volunteer basis, and will eventually become paid Country Directors if they wish to do so.

TGN will be working tirelessly with your help to bring together all Tanzanians from every corner of the earth. From Australia to Greece, Canada to Italy, Norway and the United Kingdom, and many other places in Africa, Asia and beyond, we have already started our huge and vital task.

One day, with your help and support, we will truly know where Tanzanians are living, working and thriving across the Earth. We can come together, with pride and laughter, care and community, and truly say “We are the Tanzanian Diaspora”. Please take few minutes today to visit www.tanzaniaglobalnetwork.org and share this information with all your Tanzanian family and friends. Find out more about our goals and dreams – then join and be a vital part of them.
