Dear friends & colleagues of DICOTA!
As we prepare to gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving weekend, I’d like to take the opportunity to thank you our members, the Executive Committee, Board of Trustees, and national volunteers who are dedicated day in and day out to the success of DICOTA.
At this time of year, we take a moment to remember someone or something for which we’re thankful. We couldn’t accomplish the goals we set out to meet without a commitment to success and to our colleagues, and for that, I am grateful.
As an organization, we are making good progress. We launched our Young Leader Scholarship, and many congratulations to the winner Jose Fabian Kabigumila. If you have not done so, check our recipient announcement. The fundraising for the 2018 Young Leader Scholarship is open now, and you too can donate towards it by simply clicking here. Additionally, the recently concluded Healthcare Forum proved the progress we are making in engagement and collaboration. Our very own Isca Jojo took the pictures showcasing the event, and you can see them here. That forum, coupled with the work underway across DICOTA to improve our member experience and extend our reach to all stakeholders, continue to transform our organization to a platform we aspire it to be.
We should never forget that our accomplishments are a product of collaboration and our talented and diverse team. I am psyched from the direction we are taking and looking forward to embracing this new oozing energy among us. Stay tuned for more details on the 2018 Convention in Seattle!
To you and yours, I wish you a happy Thanksgiving holiday. I am blessed to work with and for you!!!
With kind regards, Charles Bishota, Esq DICOTA President
