ibraHiM ajibu wa Yanga, Shomari Kapombe na Jonas Mkude ambao wote ni wachezaji wa Simba, ni miongoni mwa wachezaji walioachwa kwenye msafara wa kikosi cha Timu ya Taifa ya Tanzania, Taifa Stars, kinachoenda kuweka kambi nchini Misri kabla ya kuanza kwa michuano ya Kombe la Mataifa afrika (afcon) nchini humo.
Kocha Mkuu wa Taifa Stars, Emmanuel Amunike amesema: “Mchujo umefanyika mazoezini, nidhamu na kujituma ni sehemu ya vigezo ambavyo vimetumika. “Ukiwa mazoezini unaona namna mchezaji anavyojituma, hicho ndicho kimepelekea uwepo wa mchujo na kupatikana nyota hawa.”
Taifa Stars imeenda Misri na wachezaji 32, kisha baadaye utafanyika mchujo mwingine na kubaki nyota 23 pekee ambao ndiyo watashiriki Afcon. Tisa watakaobaki wataendelea kukaa kambini kwa maandalizi ya michuano ya Chan inayohusisha wachezaji wanaocheza ligi za ndani.
Kikosi hicho cha nyota 32 ni makipa; Aishi Manula (Simba SC), Metacha Mnata (Mbao FC), Suleiman Salula (Malindi SC) na Aaron Lulambo (Tanzania Prisons).
