TEAMS from Raising Teenagers Uganda (RTU) and partners kicked off the ninth Hike4GirlsUg today, heading to Kisoro District for a trek up Mt. Mgahinga to spotlight menstrual health, dignity, and girls' education.
The annual event fights period poverty and stigma that sideline girls from school, with participants flashing peace signs and exchanging items amid an upbeat mood. Past hikes have reached thousands with pads and education, and this year builds on that by blending the physical challenge with community advocacy.
