JKNC remembers the late Brother Hodari Abdul Ali (1954-2011), an International peacemaker who, inspired by Mwalimu Nyerere first founded Liberation Information Distributing Co. on the 1970s and more recently Dar es Salaam Books/Health Center; and was one of our most faithful and consistent supporters of this annual event before his untimely passing.

The Julius K. Nyerere Commemoration Committee thanks you for coming to share with us remembrances of Mwalimu and urges all to join us in renewing our struggle to achieve his dream by overcoming poverty, ignorance and disease.
