Rex Energy, a division of Rex Investment Ltd, is the
most trusted provider of solar solutions in Tanzania and East African region
having been in business for over 12 years. The company seeks to compliment
government efforts by bringing power to remote, off-grid and other markets
facing unreliable power supply. It is part of Rex’s mission to educate the
public about the benefits of using renewable energy (solar, wind and biomass)
as a vast number of our population is still uninformed about this new
technology.
Rex is seeking to recruit dynamic, strategic,
experienced and qualified candidates to fill positions in sales, human resource,
accounts and logistics and technical departments.
The candidates must be of outstanding integrity,
creative, with a good track record of initiating change, managing compliance
and achieving positive results. They should be highly organized and
self-motivated with excellent personal and interpersonal skills. We are looking
for people with outstanding written and oral communication skills with strong
work ethics, and ability to build relationships with key clients.
In addition, the candidate ought to have a good
track record of success in previous employment. It is important that the
candidate has strong negotiation skills and is able to deal with clients of
different types: corporate, retail, governmental institutions, international
organizations and so forth.

Field Sales Executives (15 positions):
Position summary: Assist the company in sales and marketing of the
developed products
Reporting line: Business Development Manager
General and key
duties:
·
Field Sales
Executives will spend most of their time looking for business and conducting
sales in the field.
·
Field Sales
Executives will be deployed in zonal centers in Arusha, Mwanza, Mbeya and
Dodoma. It is an added advantage that candidates have worked or lived in these
areas in the past or currently residing there.
Key qualification,
experience and competencies:
·
A candidate
should have a minimum of University degree/Advanced diploma or its equivalent
in business administration, marketing, management, social sciences or any other
related field.
·
5-10 years
experience in direct sales
·
Strong inner
drive for success
·
Experience in
solar energy sales will be an added advantage
2.0 Human Resource Manager (1
position)
Position summary: To facilitate
alignment of REX’s Company, people and culture to its strategic business plan,
through the provision of services in all aspects of human resources management.
Reporting line: The Human Resources Manager will be reporting to the
Director of Finance and Administration.
General and key
duties: Human Resource Manager
is expected to be involved in hiring decisions for new employees, organizing
training for new hires, on-going job training for associates, employee
relations and benefits, as well as handling employee disputes. Other duties
include organizing for workshops and seminars for clients in local
municipalities, business community, educational institutions and central
government level.
Key qualification,
experience and competencies:

A successful
candidate for this position is someone with at least a Bachelor’s degree in
Human Resource Administration or its equivalent.
·
A good candidate
for this position would be someone with at least 5 years experience in human
resource management.
·
The candidate
should also have experience in business management or someone who has held
leadership positions in the past.
·
Previous
experience as human resource manager will be an added advantage.
3.0
Electrical Technicians (10 positions)
Position
summary: Installation of solar
systems (panels, inverters, batteries, charger controllers etc.).
Reporting line: The
job holder will be reporting to Electrical supervisor.
General and key
duties:
·
Technicians are
expected to work in the field throughout Tanzania carrying out solar system
installations for clients (large and small).
·
This job
involves frequent traveling.
Key
qualification, experience and competencies:
·
A minimum of an
advanced diploma in electrical engineering from a reputable institution.
·
A good candidate
for this position is someone with background in electrical installation and
solar systems installation
·
Someone who has
done the installations of solar systems (panels, inverters, batteries, charge
controllers etc) in the past has an added advantage.
·
A bachelor’s
degree in electrical engineering or electronics is an added advantage.
4.0
Accountant (2 positions)
Job summary: Assist the accounting manager in handling all
aspects of accounting and finance and management of company’s assets.
Reporting line: Job holder will report to Finance and Accounting
Manager
General and key
duties:
·
The holder of
this position will handle all aspects of accounting and finance.
·
Management of
company’s assets and other duties as may be directed by the company management
team.
Key
qualification, experience and competencies
·
Candidate must
have at minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
·
Candidate with
at least 3 years experience in accounting and finance.
A good candidate for this position is someone with
analytical skills and ability to pay attention to details.
5.0
Procurement and Logistics (1 position)
Position
summary; will also be
responsible to handle all aspects of procurement and logistics for our company.
Reporting line: Job holder will be reporting to Director of
Finance and Administration.
General and key
duties:
·
To manage
company’s purchases and ensure that the warehouse is in good condition at all
times;
·
Manage inventory
controls, recording what goes in and what goes out
·
Making sure that
company’s assets and products are well maintained and accounted for at all
times.
In addition,
the logistics and procurement executive will be responsible for all the repairs
of company vehicles and equipment.
Key
qualification, experience and competencies:
·
A minimum of bachelor’s
degree in procurement, store-keeping, business management, logistics or any
other related fields.
·
The desired experience for this position is at
least 3 years working in procurement, store-keeping, warehouse or logistics.
6.0 Executive Assistant (1 position)
Position summary: To perform a wide range of administrative and
general support duties in the office of the Managing Director also act as a liaison
between that office and other department heads. The job holder should uphold the
highest level of confidentiality of all matters passing in his/her hand.
Reporting line: The job holder of this position will report
directly to the Managing Director.
General and key
duties:
·
Responsible for
heavy calendar management, requiring interaction with both internal and
external executives and assistants, as well as consultants, to coordinate a
variety of complex executive meetings.
·
Manage Managing
Director’s diary by booking appointments, meetings and activities to ensure
proper time management.
·
Drafting
responses to mail and responding to routine questions on the telephone.
·
Taking minutes/dictation
in the Managing Director’s meetings and following up actions agreed for the
Managing Director.
Key
Qualification, experience and competencies
·
A successful
candidate for this position is someone with at least a Bachelor’s degree in
public relations, business administration, marketing, communication, or
equivalent qualification and relevant working experience of at least three
years as an Executive Assistant.
·
The candidate
should be highly organized and with great level of integrity and able to work
independently with only general guidance on a variety of special projects.
SALARY AND
COMPENSATION PACKAGE
Rex Energy will offer an attractive package of base
salary and other benefits for qualified candidates. In addition to a base
salary, Field Sales Executives will be given a commission based on monthly
sales quotas.
