Hon.Stephen Masele (MP),Deputy Minister of Energy and Minerals with H.E. Mwanaidi Maajar,Tanzania Ambassador to the United States when the former paid a courtesy call at the Tanzania House, Washington DC recently.

Hon. Stephen Masele(MP), Deputy Minister of Energy and Minerals visited the US Department of State recently to discuss combating smuggling of tanzanite by introducing "Certificate of Origin".US is the largest market and destination for most of the gemstones.
