The New Edition singer surrendered to authorities yesterday after pleading no contest to his third D.U.I. and driving without a license back in February. Brown was supposed to begin a 55-day prison sentence but was released the same day he entered.
According to TMZ, the singer entered L.A. County Jail just before 10AM on Wednesday (March 20), only to leave just before 7PM that evening.
The tabloid has insinuated that most of Los Angeles' jails are so overcrowded that there really wasn't any room for the celebrity. However, Brown still has to attend alcohol classes for 18 months. He'll also be on probation for four years.
See kids, sometimes it pays to be famous.
