The Supreme Court has suspended the Mathare by-election pending the determination of an appeal filed by former MP George Mike Wanjohi.
Mr Wanjohi filed the appeal after the Court of Appeal had ruled that he was not validly elected as MP on March 4 last year.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission had set June 3 as the date for the by-election.
This was after National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi had declared the seat vacant. NAIROBI NEWS
