August 2014- The
International Youth Day is celebrated on 12th August of every year.
This year the theme is “Youth and Mental
health” with the slogan “Mental
health Matters”. In commemoration of this day, UNFPA in collaboration with
ILO, UNIC and several partners including youth organizations have organized an
Art Explosion and Sports event on Saturday
16th August 2014, which will involve basketball teams from Makongo and Baden Paul high school, Kizuka
secondary school, Segerea and Eagles basketball clubs, Donbosco lioness and
Tanzania Prisons Queens. The event will also bring together across section artists who will conceptualize the theme into drawings;
this group will be led by a well-known artist – Paul Nduguru.
WHAT: Art Explosion and Sports event to

Information, Youth, Culture and Sports, PSI, AMREF, Mariestopes, Grassroots
sports and event, selected basketball teams (male/female) and a cross section
of youth groups
