On behalf of Assistant Secretary Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the U.S. Department of State - Bureau of African Affairs invites you to speak as a panelist during the second session of the “African and African-American Diaspora Working Group” meeting.

As part of the Global Diaspora Week (“GDW”), the Assistant Secretary will open the meeting, which will focus on the role of the diaspora in helping Africa grow, followed by a panel discussion on “Investing in Africa.”  This panel will examine investment options, and how the average person can invest in sub-Saharan Africa. Ngozi Nmezi, the District of Columbia’s Executive Director of the Office on African Affairs, will moderate the discussion.

This is a public event and the purpose is to raise awareness, foster collaboration and interchange among diaspora communities, particularly African and African Americans.  It is also a discussion about how the average person can invest and/or do business in Africa.  We hope you can participate to share your candor, and recommendations.

Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
