attention especially within the Tanzanian community - Tuko pamoja, right?
1. CSI has received support from Rotary International to donate 200 childbirth kits to pregnant women at Amana Hospital in Ilala, Tanzania. Hii itakuwa trip yetu ya pili from 49 women to almost 250 women - lives saved. Each kit costs $6.59. Make a donation here. (We need to get these fairly soon, so they can ship with Pius (AllAfrika) end of July to make it in time for November hand-over).
2. CSI is collaborating with the Embassy of Tanzania to fundraise for a maternal and newborn project in Biharamulo District, Kagera (northwest TZ). It's a five year project and we would like to kick-start it with a fundraising to get Phase 1 of Year 1 activities underway. Our fundraising goal is $10,000 (approx. 20 million Tshillings - a fifth of the total budget). Registration is $100 and includes 1 raffle ticket. Great food, entertainment, and networking. Register here. Can't make it and want to support, click here.

which areas within Tanzania will these funds be distributed to? OR will the funds end up in the pockets of the few, as customarily practiced in BONGOLAND? De javu!
