9 dead In Masaka Road Fatal Accident

Nine people have been confirmed dead and over 20 critically injured in an accident along Kampala- Masaka road. The accident happened today morning at Kamutuuza village, a few kilometers to Masaka town.

Speeding bus Reg. NO. UAX 826M rammed into a stationary trailer UAJ 872N, UAD 446Q.

The bus was headed to Kanungu district.

The causalities have been rushed to Masaka Referral Hospital for treatment and the dead are in the mortuary.

Greater Masaka Police commander Maxwell Ogwal says they are looking for the bus driver to help them as they investigate the cause of the accident.

Survivors of this fatal accident have attributed it to reckless driving and over speeding.
