Dear Diaspora member,
As previously announced, DICOTA 2016 EC elections will take place via electronic ballot on Saturday October 1st through Sunday October 2nd, 2016. Only eligible voters will receive voting instructions via email tomorrow, Thursday September 29th, which will include a unique VOTER ID and PASSWORD in order to vote. Final election results will be announced on Tuesday October 4th.
To be eligible to vote, you must be an active member of DICOTA for 2016 year. You are defined as meeting voting eligibility criteria:
1. If you registered and paid for the 2016 Dallas Convention as a delegate (not sponsor) because your registration fee had included membership from Jan 2016-Dec 2016.
2. If you paid or renewed your membership fee in full, anytime between Jan 1st, 2016 and September 26th 2016.
If you believe you have met active membership criteria defined above, and do not receive your login credential email by 6PM ET tomorrow, Thursday Sept 29th , check your spam/junk mail and if it's not there, then please e-mail the Election Committee at election@dicotaus.org. We will check our database and clarify your status. We encourage those who have questions about their membership status to inquire before Friday September 30th, since electronic voting is a multi-step process which requires ample time to set up. To protect the integrity of the election, no voting logins will be issued after Friday September 30th and voting period will not be extended beyond the allotted 2 days.
Election window will be opened for 2 days only, from 12:00 midnight (Eastern Time) on Oct 1st and close at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time) on Oct 2nd. To view all candidates and their statements of intent go to https://www.dicotaus.org and click on "Candidates".
