Mwakilishi wa kudumu wa Tanzania Umoja wa Mataifa New York, Baloz Modest J. Mero akisoma ujumbe kama mgeni rasmi kwenye sherehe ya miaka 53 ya muungano wa Tanganyika na Zanzibar ilifanyika New York City, kwa kuandaliwa na uongozi wa New York Tanzania Community, Na kuudhuliwa na Watanzania mbalimbali kutoka maeneo ya jirani na New York States. Katika shamla shamla ya sherehe hiyo kulifanyika mambo mbalimbali kama utoaji wa zawadi, chakula cha ki Afrika sambamba na burudani ya music wa ki Africa.
