CONGRATULATION AMBASSADOR LIBERATA MULAMULA FOR NEW POST AS TANZANIAN AMBASSADOR IN THE UNITED STATES



Dear Ambassador,
H.E. Liberata Mulamula
On behalf of wonderful people of the city, we delight to welcome you as a member of our Tanzanian's community in the United States.
Ambassador, Mulamula, the former Executive Secretary of the International Conference on Great lakes Region (ICGLR). She was known as champion of advancing ICGLR as an institutional for peace, stability and development, enabled dialogue and helped minimize challenge to the stability in the region. She was in this position for almost six years of distinguished service that had brought the region to peace.
A career diplomatic, she joined the Tanzania Ministry of Foreign Affair in 1981 and served in the permanent Mission to the United Nations in different capacities from 1985-1992 and 2002-2003, and in the Tanzania High Commission to Canada, from 1999 to 2002.
From 2003-2006, she was Director of Multilateral Cooperation in the department of the Tanzanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Also, we know, from 1992-1994, Ambassador Mulamula participated in the Rwandese Peace talk in Arusha, Tanzania as part of the facilitator's team.
Ambassador Mulamula holds a Master of Arts ( St. John's University, USA 1989), Diploma International law ( 1989), Bachelor of Art (  Hons and a Post-Graduate Diploma in International Relations ( 1983).
She was Senior Adviser in Diplomatic Affairs to the President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete.
We thank your commitment to the Public service to our country.

Ni wiki iliyopita tu tulikuwa na tamasha la ukuzaji wa lugha ya Kiswahili hapa DMV. Kwa nini tusipende kutumia lugha yetu ambayo aghalabu tunaweza kuimudu! Kwa nini tunang'ang'ania kutumia lugha za wenzetu ambazo inaonekena dhahiri hatuna uwezo nazo? Kama ujumbe ulilengwa wasomaji wa Kiswahili, basi mwandishi angetumia Kiswahili. Jamani tujisahihishe, tupende vya kwetu!

Kupenda vya kwetu, hususan utumiaji wa lugha ya Kiswahili sio kigezo wala mhimili wa ufasaha katika lugha. Kiswahili kinacho zungumzwa na kuandikwa Tanzania hasa na waishio nje ya pwani, kwa kweli ni kibovu saaaaaana. Lafudhi imeoza, msamiati hakuna na hata fikra na mpangilio wa maneno ni mbovu.
Mwandishi aliyetumia Kiingereza haja kosea kwa uchaguzi wa lugha ya kutumia. Tatizo ni kuwa hata hicho kiingereza chake ni kibovu kabisa. Kuna vyuo na madarasa ya kujipiga msasa lugha ya bure kabisa huko Marekani. Na kama uamuzi ni kuishi huko basi angalau jaribu kujielemisha kwenye lugha basi. Utaona manufaa yake huko Ughaibuni hasa kama utabahatika kupati ajira nzuri. Au lengo ni kubeba maboxi na kubaki hapo hapo?
Jamani jiendelezeni, lugha ni silaha na zana... Kadri uwezavyo kumiliki nyingi basi ndio njia moja ya ufanisi.

Suala muhimu ni kwamba kama mtu huna uwezo na hiyo lugha basi usiitumie, jaribu kutumia lugha ambayo una uwezo nayo. Hata mahakamani unaweza kuomba mkalimani. Tuijendeleze kimasomo ili tusitie aibu zaidi huku nchi za watu. Watu wengi sana wanasoma hii blogu pamoja na wenyetu wetu.

Licha ya matatizo ya lugha ya Kiingereza, pia kuna mushkeli kwenye usahihi wa "facts" zilizoandikwa. Hivi mwandishi ana maana kwamba Mheshimiwa alianza kazi "Tanzania Ministry of Foreign Affair in 1981" kabla hajamaliza masomo yake "Bachelor of Art (Hons and a Post-Graduate Diploma in International Relations 1983). Kabla ya kuandika habari muhimu kama hii ni vyema angehakikisha usahihi wa "facts" hata ikibidi kuwasiliana na muhusika mwenyewe. Tujisahihishe!
