Announcing Executive Committee Candidates

Dear Tanzania Diaspora Member:

On behalf of the Diaspora Council of Tanzanians in America (DICOTA), please accept our appreciation for participating in the nomination process for potential members of the DICOTA Executive Committee. The nominating phase was closed on April 11, 2021.

The elected Executive Committee members shall be elected for a term of two (2) years. Executive Committee members shall be allowed to stand for election for a maximum of two (2) consecutive two-year terms and may be re-elected after being away for one (1) term. As per DICOTA Bylaws, the Board of Trustee shall appoint two At-Large Executive Committee members and also appoint for any vacancies.

Please note that to be eligible to vote April 30-May 2, 2021, membership dues must be paid in full by April 20, 2021. Voting ballots will not be issued to inactive members as of April 20, 2021. To pay your dues please visit DICOTA or email dicota@dicotausa.org to verify your membership status and eligibility to vote.

This is a dynamic time for the Tanzania diaspora and specifically those based in the United States. The future of DICOTA is in the hands of its elected officials. It is important therefore you exercise your opinion at this time.
