TAMASHA LA 44 LA KIMATAIFA LA SANAA NA UTAMADUNI BAGAMOYO KUFANYIKA OKTOBA 28-31 MWAKA HUU, VIKUNDI 104 KUSHIRIKI

 

Mji wa Bagamoyo unatarajiwa kulipuka kwa burudani wakati Tamasha la 44 la Kimataifa la Sanaa na Utamaduni Bagamoyo litakalofanyika Oktoba 28 hadi 31 2026, likiwakutanisha wasanii na vikundi 146 kutoka ndani na nje ya Tanzania.

Akizungumza na waandishi wa habari leo, Septemba 2, 2026, Kaimu Mkuu wa Taasisi ya Sanaa na Utamaduni Bagamoyo (TaSUBa) Bw. Gabriel B. Kiiza, amesema kati ya vikundi hivyo, 104 vinatoka ndani ya Tanzania huku 42 vikiwa vya kimataifa.

Amesema shughuli za Tamasha zitaanza rasmi kwa mkesha utakaofanyika Oktoba 27, kabla ya kuendelea na matukio mbalimbali ya sanaa na utamaduni katika siku nne ambazo Tamasha hilo litatimua vumbi.

Katika kipindi hicho, wananchi na wageni watapata fursa ya kushuhudia burudani na maonesho mbalimbali yatakayohusisha muziki, ngoma, maigizo, sarakasi, ushairi, vichekesho, mazingaombwe na filamu.

Mbali na burudani, tamasha hilo pia litakuwa jukwaa la kukuza na kuonesha kazi za sanaa za ufundi pamoja na shughuli za biashara zinazohusiana na sanaa na utamaduni.

Kwa upande mwingine, washiriki wa tamasha watapata fursa ya kuifahamu zaidi historia na utamaduni wa Mji wa Bagamoyo kupitia ziara katika baadhi ya vivutio muhimu vya kihistoria na kiutamaduni, ikiwemo Mji Mkongwe wa Bagamoyo, Magofu ya Kaole (Kaole Ruins) na Boma la Wajerumani.

Tamasha la 44 la Kimataifa la Sanaa na Utamaduni Bagamoyo ni sehemu muhimu ya kuendeleza, kuhifadhi na kutangaza sanaa na utamaduni wa Tanzania, huku likitoa nafasi kwa wasanii wa ndani na nje ya nchi kukutana, kubadilishana uzoefu na kuonesha vipaji vyao.

WATALII WAFURAHIA UTALII WA BOTI HIFADHI YA NYERERE

 

Hifadhi ya Taifa ya Nyerere imeendelea kuwavutia watalii kutoka ndani na nje ya Tanzania, huku utalii wa boti katika Mto Rufiji ukiwa miongoni mwa shughuli zinazotoa uzoefu wa kipekee kwa wageni.

Wakiwa ndani ya boti, watalii hupata fursa ya kuvuka kwenye mandhari ya kuvutia ya Mto Rufiji na kushuhudia kwa karibu wanyamapori mbalimbali wanaoishi pembezoni mwa mto, wakiwemo viboko, mamba, tembo na ndege wa aina mbalimbali. 

Tabasamu na furaha za watalii zinadhihirisha namna safari hii ya maji inavyobadilisha ziara ya Hifadhi ya Nyerere kuwa kumbukumbu isiyosahaulika.

Nyerere si safari ya kutazama wanyamapori pekee—ni uzoefu wa kuishi na kufurahia uzuri wa asili ya Tanzania kwa njia ya kipekee.

Mbio za Hisani za Manyara Tanzanite Marathon zimefanyika leo mkoani Manyara, zikihudhuriwa na watu mbalimbali kutoka maeneo tofauti ya nchi pamoja na viongozi mbalimbali, huku lengo kuu likiwa ni kuchangisha fedha kwa ajili ya kuokoa maisha ya watoto wachanga na watoto njiti.

Naibu Spika wa Bunge la Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania, Daniel Sillo, aliyemwakilisha Waziri Mkuu wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania ambaye alitarajiwa kuwa mgeni rasmi katika mbio hizo, amepongeza uongozi wa Mkoa wa Manyara kwa ubunifu wa kuanzisha mbio hizo zinazolenga kuchangisha fedha kwa ajili ya kuimarisha huduma za afya na kuokoa maisha ya watoto wachanga na watoto njiti.

Sillo amesema hatua hiyo ni mfano wa ubunifu unaopaswa kuigwa na maeneo mengine nchini, akisisitiza umuhimu wa kushirikisha jamii na wadau katika kusaidia kuboresha huduma za afya.

Kwa upande wake, Naibu Waziri wa TAMISEMI, Jafari Rajabu, amesema mbio hizo zimeleta tija kubwa katika juhudi za kuokoa maisha ya watoto, akiwataka wananchi na wadau kuendelea kuunga mkono jitihada zinazolenga kuboresha afya ya watoto.

Mkuu wa Mkoa wa Manyara, Queen Sendiga, amewashukuru wadau wote walioshiriki na kuunga mkono maandalizi ya mbio hizo, akisema ushiriki wao umewezesha kufanikisha azma ya kuchangisha fedha kwa ajili ya watoto wanaohitaji huduma maalumu za afya.

Baadhi ya washiriki wa mbio hizo wamesema, pamoja na kushiriki kwa ajili ya mazoezi na kuimarisha afya zao, wameona umuhimu wa kuwa sehemu ya harakati za kuchangia maisha ya watoto wachanga na watoto njiti.

Wamesema ushiriki wao katika Manyara Tanzanite Marathon umewapa fursa ya kufanya mazoezi huku wakitoa mchango wa moja kwa moja katika kusaidia kuokoa maisha ya watoto, hivyo kuwataka wananchi wengine kuendelea kushiriki katika matukio yenye malengo ya kijamii na kiafya.

MASHINDANO YA NGALAWA YANOGESHA MSIMU WA PILI WA FuToPiA ZANZIBAR 2026

ZANZIBAR - Ngalawa ya "Baba Karudi" iliyoongozwa na Hassan Thajo imeibuka mshindi wa kwanza katika mashindano ya mbio za ngalawa yaliyofanyika Bahari ya Fumba.

Mashindano hayo yalishuhudia ushindani mkubwa kutoka kwa ngalawa 12 na ni sehemu ya program ya michezo ya asili katika msimu wa pili wa tamasha la FuToPiA Zanzibar lililofanyika tarehe 8-9 Agosti, 2026.

Katika mbio hizo, Ngalawa ya "Wape Kazi" iliyoongozwa na Nahodha Aboubakari Kondo ilishika nafasi ya pili, huku nafasi ya tatu ikinyakuliwa na Ngalawa ya "Utoto Raha" iliyoongozwa na Nahodha Hussein Thajo.

Akizungumza baada ya mashindano, Mratibu wa Michezo ya Asili wa FuToPiA Zanzibar, Joseph Klanda amesema mashindano hayo yanalenga kuwakaribisha wananchi wa maeneo ya Nyamanzi, Dimani na Fumba Town kujumuika na kufurahia tamasha hilo pamoja.

"Chombo cha 'Baba Karudi' washindi wa kwanza kilipewa nguvu na kampuni ya Fortitude Security. Chombo cha 'Wape Kazi' mshindi wa pili kilipeperusha bendera ya FuToPiA Zanzibar, na chombo cha mshindi wa tatu kilipeperusha bendera ya Clouds Media," amesema Klanda.

Aidha, amesema washindi wote kuanzia nafasi ya kwanza hadi ya 12 walipata zawadi ya fedha taslimu pamoja na shukrani za ushiriki.

TANAPA, GERMANY AGENCIES EXECUTE SH 19 BN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS AS THEY SEEK TO BALANCE CONSERVATION AND LIVELIHOOD IN NGORONGORO

Aug. 17, 2026. Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA), in partnership with Germany’s development agencies, is implementing community development and conservation projects worth about 6.3 million euros ($7.4 million), equivalent to roughly Sh19 billion, in Ngorongoro District, Arusha Region. 

The programme seeks to improve community livelihoods and public services while strengthening conservation of the wider Serengeti ecosystem. 

It is being implemented under the Serengeti Ecosystem Development and Conservation Project (SEDCP), financed by the German government through KfW Development Bank, with support from the Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS).

During Monday’s inauguration of the Enguserosambu Dispensary, representatives of Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), KfW and other partners witnessed the handover of the facility. 

The state-of-the-art dispensary, located in Enguserosambu Ward, was constructed at a cost of Sh504 million (180,000 euros) and will serve about 5,000 people. 

Nuhu Daniel Massay, TANAPA Assistant Conservation Commissioner–National Parks Development, who also coordinates donor-funded projects, investments and parks planning, said the interventions demonstrate the importance of linking conservation with the wellbeing of communities living alongside protected areas. 

“Conservation cannot be separated from the livelihoods and wellbeing of communities. These investments demonstrate that protecting wildlife and ecosystems must go hand in hand with improving the lives of people living around protected areas,” Massay said. 

He added that better access to education, healthcare, water, markets and sustainable livelihoods could make communities stronger partners in protecting natural resources. 

Joachim Schmitt, Head of Delegation, said he was impressed by the scale and impact of the projects, adding that “the best is yet to come,” while commending Tanzania-Germany cooperation for showing how conservation and community development can reinforce each other.

Across the Serengeti ecosystem, SEDCP has supported 69 social infrastructure projects in Serengeti and Ngorongoro districts. 

These include 14 dispensaries, 16 classrooms, 23 houses for teachers and health workers, one dining hall, one dormitory, six feeder roads and eight charco dams. 

In Ngorongoro District, 36 community development projects have been implemented, with 15 completed and handed over to communities and 21 at various final stages. 

The projects include 11 classrooms, a dining hall, seven dispensaries, 10 houses for teachers and health workers, four feeder roads covering 46 kilometres and three charco dams.

The programme is also supporting livelihoods and sustainable land management through FZS. According to district officials, 23 Community Conservation Banks (COCOBAs) have provided self-employment and income-generating opportunities to 835 people—444 women and 391 men. 

SEDCP has additionally supported village land-use planning, issuance of Certificates of Customary Rights of Occupancy (CCROs) and community-based protection of forests and grazing areas in Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Bariadi, Bunda and Tarime districts. 

Ngorongoro District Administrative Secretary Hamza Hamza said the projects had improved access to education, healthcare and water while strengthening the relationship between conservation and community development. 

“These investments are not merely infrastructure. They have made a real difference in the lives of our people,” Hamza said, adding that communities were becoming more involved in protecting forests, grazing areas and other natural resources.

The German-backed programme is also designed to diversify household livelihoods and reduce pressure on natural resources. 

During Monday’s field visit, the BMZ and KfW delegation inspected the Charco Dam at Olorien Village, where officials explained its benefits to communities and livestock. 

The dam cost Sh1.1 billion (363,363.16 euros) and is located in Olorien Village/Magaiduru Ward, benefiting communities in Olorien and Magaiduru villages. 

It serves a population of 5,011 people and 109,838 livestock, including cows, goats, sheep and donkeys. 

TANAPA is the client, with the Ngorongoro District Executive Director, ward and village leaders, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA) and the District commissioner, among key stakeholders.

The delegation later travelled to Lopolum village, where Maasai community members presented aspects of their traditional way of life and discussed the benefits and challenges of the programme. 

COCOBA groups demonstrated their savings and income-generating activities, while members of the Enguserosambu Forest Trust and village forest scouts explained their work protecting the community forest. 

The partnership brings together TANAPA, BMZ, KfW, the German Embassy, FZS and Tanzanian government authorities. 

Massay said TANAPA would continue working with development partners and local authorities to ensure projects are completed to the required standards and maintained for lasting benefits. 

He said the programme demonstrates the value of Tanzania-Germany cooperation in linking conservation with the socio-economic development of communities living near protected areas.
