Tanzania renews Nyuni agreement

London-listed Aminex has been granted the first ever renewal of a production sharing agreement (PSA) in Tanzania, receiving a further six months of the Nyuni East Songo-Songo agreement.
In an announcement, Aminex said this would cover the company should the Nyuni-2 well, due to be spudded in the next few weeks, would not have been completed during the current agreement, something Aminex said was a “likely eventuality”.

Aminex chairman Brian Hall said the company was grateful for Tanzanian government cooperation.
“We are looking forward to continuing activity in this interesting part of the East African coastal margin," he said.
The project is managed by Aminex subsidiary Ndovu as operating partner of a consortium which includes RAK Gas Commission, with 25%, Key Petroleum (5%) and Bounty Oil (5%)
