About the company and the position

Danimex Communication Ltd. with headquarter in Denmark is a major player in the communication market in Europe, Middle East and Africa and is going through steady growth. To support this growth Danimex is actively looking to hire a communication engineer highly experienced in HF and VHF/UHF technologies.

The position as Communication Engineer is an exciting and challenging position for the right person. The candidate will be responsible for Danimex' technical operations throughout the East African region, covering 11 countries. This is a hands-on position, where the candidate will be directly involved in workshop activities as well as field operations.

Employment will be based on a 1 year contract with possibility for extension and career progression for the right candidate. The candidate will report directly to the Regional Manager of Eastern Africa.

Technical support responsibilities

·         Pre-sales – integrated solutions design, backed by main support team

·         Workshop duties – programming, repair, duplexer tuning etc.

·         Field installations – planning, implementation, support, supervision

·         Technical support to dealers and customers

Technical Training responsibilities

·         Internal training of technical staff

·         External training of dealers' technical staff

Experience and skills

·         Educated and highly technically experienced with HF, VHF/UHF and Satellite communication equipment

·         Professional experience in planning, managing and implementing communication technologies

·         Candidates with a general technical background will be preferred

·         You live in Africa at the present

·         You are fluent in English, both written and spoken
