Wednesday December 19, 2012 -President Mwai Kibaki is due to address parliament as MPs prepare for the Christmas break.
Speaker of the National Assembly Kenneth Marende said Kibaki will address the House at 4pm and thereafter attend a dinner hosted in his honour by the National Assembly.
The special dinner will be held at Hotel Intercontinental and all MPs have been asked to attend.
The Head of State’s address is likely to be the last since he is set to retire next year.
Parliament may break tomorrow for Christmas and is likely to come back in January 14 for the final lap before the March 4th general election.
Today’s speech from Kibaki is likely to outline his government‘s achievement in his ten -year tenure and put across his wish regarding the forthcoming general election.
