Jay-Z Throws Lavish Party for His Grandmother's Birthday

The rapper picked up his grandmother, Hattie White, in a Rolls-Royce with his wifeBeyonce Knowles, and the pair took her over to the Liberty Warehouse to celebrate her 85th birthday.

Once all the guests had reached the location, they were entertained by dancers from the Boys and Girls Club, a social association promoting citizenship among young people.

Party-goers were also treated to Southern American cooking. 

Earlier this year, Jay took Hattie to a baseball game between the New York Yankees and the Minnesota Twins. 

Jay has been increasingly family-oriented in recent months, and he's expressed his desire to have a baby with Beyonce. He also revealed he has his own retirement plan, which involves going to a private island with a personal chef to smoke cigars, drink wine and get fat. 

He explained: "That's what I enjoy. That's the payback for all the hard work. Beyonce will be on the island too. But I don't think she plans to get as fat as me. I'm gonna be fat!"
