It’s the type of story you see in books: newborn discovered in car with letter. But reports statethat a mother in Porirua, New Zealand actually left her baby in a locked car on Saturday (Mar. 23) during a supermarket run.
The abandoned baby was seen wrapped in a blanket with a note, visible to anyone walking by, that requested to call the mother for help if anything happened.
After a photo of the baby and the note was published in The New Zealand Herald, people of course got riled up. Leaving a child unattended can lead to severe consequences in any country.
