We Tanzanians in the Diaspora , Believe That Dual Citizenship is a Great Thing for The Country. Please Support.
Dual Citizenship ni :
1. Kwa Ajili ya Wewe
2. Kwa Ajili ya Nchi
3. Kwa Ajili Ya Watoto Wako
4. Kwa Ajili Ya Maendeleo ya Nchi

The government has said that it is high time now for Tanzania to allow dual citizenships so as to enable the Diasporas contribute to the country’s development in terms of income and expertise.

It has been said that many wealthy and well educated Tanzanians living abroad fail to contribute to national development because they are denied the right to dual citizenship.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Bernard Membe said this when he was launching a new outreach project for Tanzanians living abroad prepared by the Tanzanian Diaspora department and International Organisation for Migration (IOM) called on all citizens, politicians and academics to support the inclusion of dual citizenship in the new constitution.

CONGRAJULATIONS- VIJIMAMABO !!! The KIJIWE CHA UGAIBUNI presentation in NEW YORK is showing the good results. The vijamabo team needs not to stop this program and encourage people to sign petitions until the goal of 10,000 signatures is reached. Hurrah.
Concerning the Tanzania Diaspora – dual citizen ship bill of rights is knowledge transfer from industrialized nations to Tanzania.

Acha kudanganya watu. Umeweka nchi kama kumi hapo hazina dual citizenship bali wanawapa watu maalumu tu na sio kila mtu. Kenya haina dual citizenship. Acha kupotosha umma.

It is okay to remain optimistic, but dual citizenship is almost impossible in Tanzania. It is so sad

Article 16 (Dual Citizenship) of the Constitution provides that “(A) citizen by birth does not lose citizenship by acquiring the citizenship of another country.” However, Section 78(2) provides that a “State officer or a member of the defense forces shall not hold dual citizenship.”

Huyo mjumbe aliye iorodhesha Kenya kuwa inaruhusu urai Pacha hajakosea. Kenya wanaruhusu urai pacha tena kikatiba ila wameindaka kivyao.

Article 16 (Dual Citizenship) of the Constitution provides that “(A) citizen by birth does not lose citizenship by acquiring the citizenship of another country.” However, Section 78(2) provides that a “State officer or a member of the defense forces shall not hold dual citizenship.”

Aliyesema Kenya hawana Dual nationality hajui. Since 2010 wakenya wameruhusu Dual citizenship. Just find a Kenyan who knows. My friend is
Kenyan/British. He uses his Kenyan passport in East Africa and enjoys all the benefits of East African Cooperation and when he is in Europe he is British will all the visa free travel. it is so practical.

I disagree with Dr. Temba's comment that one needs Dual citizenship for the sake of knowledge transfer from industrialized nations to Tanzania? Let me remind him, that the majority of Tanzanian elites were educated in the so-called industrialized nations and had single green TZ passports which enabled them to return to their beloved country with plenty of transferable knowledge and expertise. For many years this form of knowledge transfer has endured. Dear TZ diaspora, if we truly love our country, then we should not complain about dual citizenship. We were born Tanzanians, but some have willingly, chosen to renounce their citizenship. Whose fault is it? Why should the Tanzanian government be blamed? You were not kicked out of the country, and thus you are warmly welcomed to return home, unconditionally.
