Dramatic moment woman hurls herself from 50ft bridge in protest at Government 'theft' of her home in China

The woman named as Lia Sun, 31, threw herself into the Zhujiang river in Guagzhou, Guangdong province over the level of compensation paid for her family's land. She was rescued by waiting police who have now said they will instruct local officials to investigate her claim.
