Diaspora Home Coming Conference Invitation!

Dear All,

You are all invited to the first Homecoming Tanzanian Diaspora Conference in Tanzania to be held at Serena Hotel from August 13th to 14th, 2014. The Tanzania Diaspora Conference, Expo & Gala Dinner 2014 is a unique conference put together by the Tanzania Diaspora Initiative in Conjunction with the Prime Minister’s Office, President’s Office in Zanzibar and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

About the Conference: Every year between the months of July and September, thousands of Tanzanians from the Diaspora come home to spend Summer Vacation with their families and friends. For this reason, The Tanzania Diaspora Initiative wishes to promote, nurture and sustain a mutually beneficial relationship with the visiting Tanzanian Diaspora for National Growth and Development in all aspects. Thousands of Tanzanians from the Diaspora will be visiting home during their Summer Vacation. The Tanzania Diaspora Conference will bring most of them together in a structured setting for a two day workshop and exhibition. During this Conference, Corporations and Marketing Firms will market their Goods, Services and Products to the members of the Tanzania Diaspora and other participants attending this well publicized event.
Since this is the first Diaspora conference to be held in Tanzania and Dar es Salaam in particular, it is anticipated that Tanzania Diaspora members will seek information on how to invest in Tanzania, Employment, Buy Property, Open Bank accounts, Obtain and Access Valuable Information, or buy into any other investment idea.

Tanzanians living in the Diaspora will in August meet in Dar es Salaam, to forge a linkage between local investors and the Diaspora markets for made in Tanzania products. Dubbed Diaspora Homecoming, the forum intends to pull over 80 Tanzanian investors, academicians and friends of Tanzania across the globe. The forum will discuss investment opportunities in priority areas, market penetration, product branding, packaging, and international standards for export industry as well as scaling up nutrition. This will not only provide a networking linkage but it will also stimulate investments that will fast track economic growth. The forum is an opportunity to bring together ideas and knowledge on how Tanzanian investments can be improved. We are not only bringing those with money and ready to invest in this country but also those with knowledge and ideas which they can share with our local entrepreneurs.

The delegation will also attract Tanzanian professors teaching in the Diaspora. With the inception of the Diaspora Resource Centre, we anticipate to offer services that will include and not limited to Information on investment opportunities; tax exemption assistance and facilitation on acquisition of housing facilities among many others. This platform aims to foster collaboration between local and global Tanzania Diaspora entrepreneurs to develop and expand innovative projects that will generate employment and economic growth.
