United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in collaboration with CCBRT, Vodacom and Ministry of Health and Social Welfare cordially invites the media to the press conference on commemoration to mark The International Day to End Obstetric Fistula, to be held at CCBRT Hospital, Msasani, on Friday 22nd May 2015 at 1000am.
The International Day to End Obstetric Fistula is observed every year on 23rd May. The Global theme for this year’s commemoration is “End Shame, End Isolation and End Fistula.” The national theme is “Usione Aibu Jitokeze, Fistula Inatibika na ina Kinga”.
Fistula commemoration is a great opportunity to not only raise awareness but also to generate new support to speed up the efforts of the Campaign to End Fistula, which is urgently needed to address this severely neglected health and human rights tragedy.
