The Albuquerque Police has told KOB-TV in Albuquerque, N.M. that
boxing legend Johnny Tapia, 45, was found dead inside his Albuquerque
home earlier today. Sources close to the Tapia family have confirmed.
The five-time world champion, known for his battles with cross-town
rival Danny Romero, Paulie Ayala, Marco Antonio Barrera and a host of
other great champions, was New Mexico’s greatest champion – and
