Dear Diaspora Member,
We want to remind you that the slate of candidates who are vying for positions on the Executive Committee (EC) of the Diaspora Council of Tanzanians in America (DICOTA) is available for your review.
Once again, we would like to thank each and every one of you for your participating thus far. We had an overwhelming response to the request for nominations, receiving 29 nominations (6 of individuals nominated for more than 1 position) for 5 slots. The Elections Committee contacted the nominees and of these 29 nominees, it was with delight that 25% accepted their nominations and it was with regret that75% declined their nominations.
The slate reflects those candidates who were nominated during the nomination window and accepted their nominations. All candidates fulfilled their membership requirements to run for office prior to or by the deadline. Please click the link below to view their bios and statements of intents to run for office.

The Elections for the Officers of DICOTA will take place via electronic ballot on October 4th, 2014. Results will be announced no later than October 5th, 2014.
To be eligible to vote on October 4th, you must pay your membership dues in full no later than Tuesday, September 30 2014. There are two easy ways to renew your membership or become a member:
